So Will, if these things you write are written out of experience (usually), am I right in assuming that a "she" has really done all this to you...broken your soul, left you as an empty person...I was under the impression you were all good in that department. But of course I'll take your word for it and I don't know you that well. Perhaps you have a "past"...spoken in a whisper with a sympathetic glance in your direction over the spectacles, while the knitting needles click..."they say she broke his heart, and you know he's been such a cynic ever since! Yes you assume correctly, well sort of, it depends on what you think a broken soul or and empty person is. And what exactly do you mean that you thought I was good in this department? And what department are you speaking of?
Don't worry, if your niece Betty is right for me and destined to be, this will not be a hinderance. LOL, that time is still far off.
Well, I was assuming that the "she" in your poem was a girl you had feelings for, so "that department" was the girl you like department. Or am I being too shallow in assuming this?
And I assumed you are all good there by sitting back and observing your age group over the past year or so...one picks up on things you know, if one watches for oneself and doesn't take someone elses word for it. A close friend is maybe all, and that is enough right now. But of course you know that.
Now "Betty" is a wonderful girl...she is only 35, still young, flaming red hair always worn in pigtails and with bountiful freckle and she has this obsession with cats...hope you like cats. She's just perfect for you Will! Oh yes, and she's always laughing...very loudly...at EVerything.

multifarious, the girl I like department that you think I am good in is not as you assume. Though she is a good friend, she is not the one in that department. That department is not even a real department with me if you understand what I am trying to say. Close friend, but nothing else. (As I keep trying to tell the Queen, but you know the Queen's stubborn way.)
I am sorry about "Betty". Assuredly someone has told you that I loathe cats. Reason being is that I have been attacked by quite a few. 1, 2, 3,... So I am not really a cat fan. Does her flaming red hair affect her attitude or not. She seems like a nice girl but a little to old for me. Sorry "Betty".
Queen, I have only watched Pride & Prejudice about 10 times or so but am not in it right know so I quite don't know what Mr. Collins is talking about.

Now to you ithilienprincess, Do you know my heart? Do you know my thoughts? And surely the only actions that you see are of me at HH. How dare you say that I like someone. Unless you consider to love the same as to like. (In which you are still wrong) I will say that I have liked girls before, and still like them in general. But to say that I like a specific girl for the "Girl I LIKE department" (at this present time) is over anything I have ever thought. Though I do hang around one at HH quite a bit, you are quite mistaken in my actions. A good friend is more important than about anything else to me, which she has become. I would rather have a good friend then a thousand 'shallow' ones. Someone in who I can utterly trust. So don't worry about it at all. I will not at anytime be pushed to say or will feel differently on this subject. I will not change my actions in any way that would help persuade the arguement to either side. I mean what I say and will not change it. You may however think what you like (As wrong as you are) and say what you like. This be an answer to you all who think alike. Get out of the general train of thought. Be different. DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER.

I have never had any ill will towards you. I doubt that I ever will. Oh, I am not a true bass. Baratone (sp) is more my range, even a tenor on most songs. I just sing bass because I can hit the notes without straining much.
You spell it baritone, and you still have a wonderful voice.
